I never really imagined myself as a person who would love 20′s and 30′s cars. After all of the filming I have been doing in the last year I have really come to respect them and own one at some point in my life. I met with Chris Davenport over the course of a few months to shoot this episode. Chris is an amazing person. He is slightly older than myself but the dedication, passion, and talent that he has amazes me every time I step into his shop. I amazed that someone his age is doing the things that he is doing down at Salt Flats Speed Shop. The metal work that he is able to achieve is one of beauty and leaves myself speechless and giddy over the projects that he does. When it comes to fabricating a part such as a door or a scoop I ask myself how would I even begin. Chris makes it look so easy each and every time.
The first go around he was working on his Bultaco. When I came in his shop to finish up this episode he had it completed and I was floored. I have yet to see a bike in person that I love more. Chris truly has an eye when he is designing something. Check out the Hypebeast article and enjoy….
