California Roundup

Well we have officially been on the road for 18 days and a large majority of that time was spent in one of the biggest cars scenes known as Southern California. The time went by in a whirlwind with most of the time spent filming in various locations which meant very little time for tourist attractions, beaches, or adventures. We did manage to sneak in a few places such as Newport Beach and Disneyland which you can see more of at my wife’s travel blog, Miles of Road. With all of that time spent filming you may be wondering what happened to all of our time? Here is a little roundup of SoCal trip.

We started out with one of the top automotive highlights I have experienced when I was allowed to run a 1957 300SL down a runway.

We then headed over to the Buttonwillow to take in some VARA racing.

After Buttownwillow we headed down south to Long Beach and met up with D3 Cadillac to shoot some of the highest horsepower Caddy’s around.

From there I met a car that simultaneously lives in my dreams and nightmares. While you are admiring the craftsmanship you have to be careful as this car will break your neck in a way that will allow you to see yourself smiling before you die.

A trip to SoCal wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Cars and Coffee in Irvine. Where else will you see things like this show up randomly on a Saturday morning?

And finally we stopped by to check if the owner of the newest JDMLegends car was in good hands. It is in fantastic hands.

With all of that accomplished it was time to say goodbye to all of the Disneylanders(all the RV parks seem to be around Disney) and head east to Arizona. Currently we are in Phoenix and have some cool things lined up. Stay tuned!

It’s very early on Saturday and I’ve read through no less than 20 posts and watched a dozen videos. Thank you for killing my morning.

Seriously though, I dig what you’re doing. The passion comes through and I appreciate that more than you can imagine. Your work is an inspiration for me to take my own to the next level. Thanks.
